One of Toronto’s most popular birding destinations, Colonel Samuel Smith Park features a network of paths and the city’s longest ice skating trail. You’ll fall in love with this trail and even get to walk through the famous “Rainbow Bridge” that you see when driving north on the DVP. You won’t even think you’re close to the highway in this natural area with its calm meadows and lush canopy that turns radiant in fall. Just east of the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) and north of Eglinton Avenue, Charles Sauriol Conservation Area has a paved trail that can be used year-round for hiking, biking and walking. A beautiful natural area, the Bluffs found at Bluffer’s Park were formed over thousands of years of glacial activity and erosion by the currents of Lake Ontario.
